Check ati display driver version

We tried a variety of things in the display settings to have it detect and change options, but it appeared that options had gone away. I took a look at Windows Update and there was a Creator's update available that had not installed. The system is set to normally update automatically. I manually started the install, but it seemed to be in a loop of "downloading", "preparing", and "installing", but it never seemed to complete.

My more technical son found an article about this with Windows Update and found a way to download the full update and make it install. After installing we still found it impossible to change display settings, still the same.

Attempting to download updated display drivers tells us that the drivers are up to date. My son did some looking around and found others experiencing the same issue since the Creators update. And it doesn't appear that you can force Windows 10 to use any specific drivers downloaded from ATI. Is there a fix for this? Is a fix coming soon? Mine is an older display adapter Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Jeff Donley. Thanks, Jeff Donley.
